Trees and Me

One of my all time favorite essential oil diffuser necklaces to make is the Tree of Life necklace. I've always loved trees. I started climbing trees the moment I was tall enough to climb on my neighbor's back to get a boost up to the first tree branch in my front yard. We used to play in the trees in southeast Texas all day and evening long in the summer. We even played "spotlight" at night in the trees. That was basically hide and seek with a flashlight in the tree branches. It's amazing no one got their eye poked out!

Then I went away to college in southwest Louisiana and again, I was playing in the trees. We used to have pizza parties up in the top branches of the old oak trees that have the moss and branches growing all the way to the ground and back up again.

Now trees have even more meaning to me because they represent God in my life and who I am in God. Psalm 1:2-3 says, "...but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers." ESV version. I memorized that verse when I was 13 years old and it has always meant so much to me. God and His word are always bringing me life, rejuvenation, joy and peace and He is the one that makes me prosper.

So, when I came up with the Tree of Life design, it made me so happy! Now I have added a new touch to some of the trees with my Sunset collection. I hand paint a different sunset on each tree in the collection. It's so much fun. I've always loved watching the beautiful sunsets that God paints. I wish I could paint more like Him!
